MASTERCHEF (BCU GROUP)

Yesterday, we met in the meeting point at 8:30 as usual.  After breakfast, in clases, we play some games like guess the animal and relate the food with its country of origin. We also start our own scrapbook to remember the time we past in BCU.

After lunch, we split in three groups to continue with the movie that we are making for the last festival. Then, we started Masterchef preparing a recipe of the night's snack. Once we had the recipe, we went all together to the supermarket to buy all the things that we needed to prepare our dish. After, we went to the accomodation to prepare our creations in the kitchens.

When we finished having dinner we decorated and presented our dishes. Afterwards, we could taste the other group's creations and even Father Sorribes tasted them.

A lot of kisses to all the families.

ARTS & CRAFTS (BCU GROUP)

Hello from Birmingham!

Yesterday we woke up at 7:30 AM, we had breakfast and we went to our classes. In class we read, we built some mock buildings - that we saw in Birmingham city centre - with paper and others materials, we played some games and we prepared the film that we are going to do for the festival.

Yesterday we spent all day at BCU, so in the evening we did some activities: we painted t-shirts and we learned how to do juggle. Then we had dinner, after dinner we played “Fish&Chips”, Pictionary, Tabu and we danced.

Then we went to the residence to have showers and go to sleep.

Lots of kisses to all the families,

VISIT TO BIRMINGHAM (BCU GROUP)

Yesterday morning we woke up at 8.15 AM and we went to have breakfast before classes. Then, we had class until 11.15 preparing the presentation that we have to do on Friday in front of everyone. After class, we got the train to Birmingham city centre and visited a lot of places.

First, we visited the Mailbox, where the BBC news station is, and there we recorded ourselves like real reporters. Then, we went to the Birmingham Library, where the secret garden is, which wasn’t a secret anymore although it was still beautiful. Finally, we saw the outside of the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery.

After the visits, we ate at McDonalds. Later, we did a scavenger hunt around all the places we had visited earlier. We were on our own and it was so much fun! We had to get to the Bullring and the first group could start shopping until 6.10 PM.

At night, we had dinner and played baseball before going to sleep. We loved it!

A lot of kisses to all of the families,

Noelia and Cristina

SWIMMING POOL

Today we woke up around 8:00 and we went to have breakfast before meeting our new teachers. We introduce ourselves with some games and an act to lose embarrasment.

After the clases, the last student Nico finally arrived and we went to have lunch hamburguers. Then, we went to the train station in order to take the train to the swimming pool in University of Birmigham. There, we had fun and we could take a lot of photos even inside the pool thanks to a waterproof camera.

After that, we went back to the accomodation and had a shower. Finally, after having dinner our awesome leaders put us some songs to sing as a karaoke. We sang and dance a lot and had a lot of fun.

Hugs and kisses

Teresa, Maria, Gonzalo, Chema y Raquel

ALTON TOWERS

Hi families,

Today we woke up at 7:15 because we had to take the bus at 8:00 to go to Alton Towers. When we arrived there we had breakfast and we split up in groups. Each group went to their favourite roller coaster for example: Rita, Nemesis, Oblivion, Th13teen, Air, Sonic spinball, The Flume and more funny roller coaster. We could buy some pictures of us riding.

We played too in the stands and some of us won prizes like an enormous fluffy toy of a monkey. We spent all the day there and we could ride all the roller coaster that we wanted. At 5:15 we met at the entrance of Alton Towers to take the bus back to Birmingham after take a group picture. We were very tired so we slept all the trip.

Now, after dinner, we are going to watch the film "Frozen" and have our last kitchen.

CAKES COMPETITION

Today in class we practiced again our performances of friday's show. Later, in Lutfa's class we did tatoos with henna. It is an indian tradition and Lutfa knew how to do it. We enjoyed a lot and now we have wonderful tatoos.

At 3:00 pm we went to the lecture theatre and our wonderful, brilliant and terrific leaders explain us the afternoon activity: The cake Competition. We split in five groups and we went to the supermarket to buy the ingredients for the cakes but we only had ten pounds. We had to cook a cake as most original and with the best flavour as posible.

Here we have the best flavour cake:

And here the most original cake:

Afterwards, we went to the acomodation to take a shower and relax. Now, after dinner, we are writing the blog and we are going to watch a film. Tonight we are going to sleep early because tomorrow we have to wake up earlier to go to Alton Towers.
